The first edition of AFRETAIL, held on June 28, 2024, at Comet Bourse & CCI Paris, brought together more than 150 participants for a program packed with conferences, expert panels, and B2B meetings. The challenges facing the African market, consumer trends, and the role of the continent's emerging capitals were at the heart of the discussions, led by experts and representatives from major brands, distributors, and financial institutions such as Kiko Milano, Yves Rocher, Mercure Internationale, and EcoBank.
Benin was in the spotlight, with the notable participation of Her Excellency Corinne BRUNET, Ambassador of Benin to France, who highlighted the country's potential for the development of retail franchises.
The event attracted considerable media attention, with numerous articles published in the trade press, highlighting the growing interest of international brands in the African market. At the same time, AFRETAIL reaffirmed its social commitment by donating part of its profits to the Racines d'Enfance association, which works to promote education and health for children in Africa.
